John Schneider was born in Washington, D.C., and comes from a "real dental family." His father, brother, aunt, uncle and nephew are all general dentists. He also has two cousins who are dental hygienists! Dr. Schneider studied at Georgetown University School of Dentistry. There he developed his deep commitment to excellence in dentistry. Following his graduation in 1966, he entered into a special three-year program to earn his Orthodontic Certificate. He successfully completed the Supervised Preceptorship Program as directed by the qualifying committee of the American Association of Orthodontists.
The Maryland Board of Dental Examiners recognized Dr. Schneider as a Licensed Orthodontic Specialist in 1969. He now celebrates over 35 years of caring for patients.
Dedication to dentistry includes active participation with fellow professionals. Dr. Schneider is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, Eastern Shore Dental Society, Dental Progress Study Club, Easton Dental Educators, Cambridge Dental Educators, and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity. He has held offices in several of these organizations and was honored as "Delt of the Year" twice.
Dr. John and Sally Schneider have been married for over 40 years and have raised three wonderful children. Both of their daughters are teachers while one is a vice principal. Their son is a doctor of veterinary medicine and is practicing in York, PA. All of his children are married, and he has 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. The Schneider family shares a love of animals, both large and small. Outside of his practice, Dr. Schneider can be found running his Quarter Horse Farm. He has raised several halter and performance champions. If you are a horse lover, be sure to ask him about his!
